Let us not forget Private First
Class Clyde Edward Jr Phifer, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of
the Army Selective Service, PFC Phifer served our country until August
20th, 1969 in Quang Tin, South Vietnam. He was 21 years old and was
not married. Clyde died from small arms fire. His body was
recovered. Clyde was born on November 13th, 1947 in Charleston, West
Virginia.
PFC Phifer is on panel 19W,
line 081 of the Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served
our country for less than a year. |
