Daniel E. “Danny” Harrah, 61, of Hurricane passed away Friday, July 2, 2010, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lemon and Virgie Harrah.

He had been employed by Elk Grocery Company, Sysco Foodservice Inc. and Phillips Supply Company of Charleston.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Dianne LaMont Harrah; sons, Anthony (MaryBeth) Harrah of Nitro, and Justin (Kristina) Harrah of Hurricane; grandson, Julian Harrah of Nitro; brothers, Dr. J.D. Harrah of Hurricane, and Charles Harrah of Scott Depot; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at Teays Valley Presbyterian Church, 4122 Teays Valley Road, Scott Depot, WV 25560, with the Rev. Janet and the Rev. Doug Jenkins officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
