| JONES, SR. Otis Zephoria Jones, Sr., 58, passed away unexpectedly October 7, 2007, at Grant Medical Center. Director of the Shiloh Baptist Church Senior Choir and Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Survived by wife, Ruby J. Coats Jones; sons, Otis Z. II (Sharon L.), Colin A. (Imani) and Michael A. Jones; grandchildren, Tyshon S., Dominique, Daniel L., and Colin A. II; parents, Rev. Lewis S. Jones Sr. and Lillian B. Jones; siblings, Wilhemina A. (Freddie) Paulin, Lewis S. Jones Jr., Maritza Gist, Royal Jones, and Phyllis Burnette; aunt, Christine Merriweather; mother-in-law, Ruby J. Freeman; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Homegoing Service 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at Shiloh Baptist Church, 720 Mt. Vernon Avenue. Rev. Dr. Otha Gilyard, officiating. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. (AFA Tribute at 7 p.m.), in the chapel of DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long Street and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the start of service. Interment Riverside Cemetery. |
