Sara Susan Davis
Sara Susan Davis, 54, of Maple
Fork, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, while at her
home, following a long illness.
Born Nov. 2, 1948, at Charleston,
she was the daughter of the late Harlow D. and Sue Bell Sheets.
Mrs. Davis was a teacher in
Raleigh County for 28 years and was currently teaching at
Cranberry-Prosperity Elementary. She was a Christian and a member of
Cranberry Community Church, where she had taught Sunday School until
becoming ill.
Survivors include her loving
husband, Haven P. Davis II; a son, Shane Austin Davis and wife, Kristy, of
Powell, Tenn.; a daughter, Sonja Leigh Davis of Norcross, Ga.; a brother,
Harlow D. Sheets of Lexington, Ky.; a sister, Kathy Mohwish of Norcross,
Ga., and a grandson, Colton Austin Davis.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday
at Cranberry Community Church, 201 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, with Pastor
Roger Pauley officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial
Gardens, Beckley.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m.
today at Blue Ridge Funeral Home and one hour prior to service at the
church.
Family and friends will serve as
pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations of
sympathy may be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia, Inc., P.O. Box
1472, Beckley, WV 25802-1472.
