Now there is a Colgate smile! |
Melody laughs, as Trish shows
Kathy she can pose just like the guy on her shirt. (Trish, that's bottled
water and it's in the wrong hand) |

There were 6 of us at my home for our July 2006 Girls Only
Reunion,
and we had so much fun, I think we're all still laughing, or at least
still smiling. Kathy Folen few up from FL, Trish Baisden drove over
from DC, Nancy Hammer and Bitsy Wiechman Tichacek drove from
Richmond, and Cathy Mullen Kelly drove from Bel Air, MD. Jennifer
Midkiff Farmer and Alice Galloway had planned to join us, but both
were recovering from surgeries, so we wish them well recoveries. We
had a retro theme, with food dishes from the 50's and 60's, like tuna
casserole, ham, Melody's Mom's macaroni and potato salad, Shoney's
strawberry pie, Valley Bell french onion dip, vanilla wafer vanilla
pudding with banana slices, and way too much more! We had 50's wax
lips, had a dress-up tea party with big hats (made by Melody),
fireworks in the back field on Sat. night, and drew straws for a 1967
penny in a lucky horse shoe key chain. Trish pulled the shortest
straw! We watched Melody's and Jennifer's home videos of Jennifer
getting a haircut from Jimmy's barber and laughed until tears were
rolling down our cheeks. We shopped the tax-free outlets in Rehoboth,
and walked the boardwalk and artsy shops in Rehoboth Beach, and the 3
days were over much too soon. Everyone left with a desire to do it
again in the Fall. We're thinking of early September, and as usual,
it's open invitation at Melody's! We'll keep you posted of
any new plans.
