Ronnie
Dwight Cobb, 59, of Kenna went to be with the Lord February 4, 2009,
in the Cleveland Clinic after a long illness.
Ronnie was retired from the United States Postal Service with 37
years of service and served in the United States Air Force. He was a
member of Goldtown Community Church and the Nitro Moose Lodge. He
enjoyed fishing, camping and reading in his spare time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lanta Russell and Evelyn
Irene Cobb.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18½ years, Valerie Ann
Bowles Cobb at home; children, Dawn Marie Hager and her husband,
Carl, of Tornado, and David Ray Ownby of Richmond, Va.;
grandchildren, Amanda Nicole Carver and Cadence Brooke Hager, both
of Tornado; sister, Helen Harper of Cross Lanes; brothers, Charles
Cobb and his wife, Ruby, of Leatherwood and Robert Cobb and his
wife, Kathy, of Sissonville; numerous nieces and nephews; and
Ronnie's babies, Tamara and Smoke.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, February 8, at
Goldtown Community Church with the Rev. Aaron Jones officiating.
Entombment will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories Mausoleum,
Sissonville.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m.
Saturday at Goldtown Community Church. Take the Goldtown exit and
turn right. The church will be on the left.
The family would like to thank Brenda and Raymond Cochran for
their special care and support of Ronnie over the years.
